Holy Father

Man's idea of his own good is always measured relatively against some other man's "badness"
"Good" is always relative

Only holiness is its own absolute

Holy Father...
The only True standard by which we can measure "goodness" -
and yet once we measure ourselves against holiness,
we realize "there is none good but God".

Our righteousness is but filthy rags
That's what that means...
Even the best "good" we can do
never matches up to Truth and holiness.

If we're honest and truly humble in the light of holiness,
We realize that we always have, always do, and always will fall short -
and must beg for mercy in the light of His holiness
and trust in His righteousness instead of our own.

Only through the death and work of Jesus Christ on the cross
can holiness ever reach down to us.
He's the only door to eternity in the presence of our
Holy Father.

Thank You Father for-giving me eyes to see You.
